RR EVOLUTION 5.56/7.62-2

(1 customer review)

The RR-Evolution Series BDC design features several innovative proprietary technologies that enhance the weapon system’s performance, allowing for faster target engagement.

Rapid Ranging helps the user range targets by providing an instant distance approximation for 9” and 18” objects.

The new Rapid Guide feature provides clear guidance for impacts when the optic is set on low magnification, which is when the BDC reticle is reduced in size due to the first focal plane design.

With the RR-Evolution design and ease of use, the learning curve for long-range precision shooting is drastically reduced for novice riflemen.

The RR-Evolution Series maximizes the weapon system’s performance, giving the user versatility not found in any other optic.

The PFI RR-Evolution-5.56/7.62-2 is designed for 5.56 NATO (.223 REM) and 7.62 NATO (.308 WIN) ammunition.

The reticle will compensate and provide impact guidance for multiple bullet weights, barrel lengths, and elevation changes.

Q1: What improvements can I expect from upgrading to a PFI scope over my current one?

A: PFI scopes offer improved clarity, increased light transmission, advanced reticle options, improved turret adjustments, and better weather resistance.

Our patented design features of Rapid Ranging and Rapid Guide also mean you will spend your time shooting, not doing calculations in the field.

You will enjoy the sport of hunting or target practice with improved accuracy and precision when you use a PFI scope.

Q2: What is the exit pupil? What size do I need?

A: The exit pupil is the space to clearly and fully see your target through your scope. This is a function of the objective lens size and the magnification level.

With a smaller lens size and higher magnification, you will have a much smaller area to properly align your vision with the target. If you need to acquire your target quickly, such as when game shooting, this can be a frustrating experience to get right.

To determine the exit pupil size, divide the objective lens diameter by the magnification level. For a 24mm objective lens and a magnification level of 12x, the exit pupil is 2 (24 / 12) compared to an objective lens of 42mm with a magnification level of 7x where the exit pupil is 6 (42 / 7).

A minimum exit pupil size of 3 is recommended.

Q3: What magnification levels do I need for different distances?

A: For targets at 50 yards, 4x-6x is sufficient in most situations. 100 yards = 4x to 9x, 300 yards = 6x to 12x, 500 yards = 9x to 18x, and 1000 yards = 18x to 25x.

A more advanced shooter likely requires less magnification at greater distances than these recommended standards.
